Update: Rt. 32 Closed Monday Following Fatal Car Accident
A Sykesville woman died from injuries sustained in the accident, police said.
Diane Elizabeth Raymond, 57, of Sykesville, died from injuries sustained in an accident on Rt. 32 near Springfield Ave. Monday afternoon, according to Maryland State Police.
Police said that just after 3 p.m., Raymond lost control of a Chevrolet Malibu on Rt. 32 when she crossed the center line and struck a Toyota 4Runner.
Hampstead resident Michelle Lynn Herget, 42, the driver of the 4Runner, was taken to Carroll Hospital Center with non life-threatening injuries, police said.

Rt. 32 was closed for several hours while police investigated.
